3D elements

3D Box

3D Box

The object is intended for automatic generating 3D Boxes, shelves, partitions and an edgeband to them.  The full process from box  creation  to saving of a new unit is absolutely automatical.
The sizes of a box measure up to its external dimensions. They are projected  as it is shown in the form coordinate system: Z-depth, Y - height, X - length.
Unlike of the primitives, linkage of the elements with layers for colouring is necessary to be made before creation of the box because subsequently would be very difficultly. In the lists with layers are only previously created in a template file or residual from previous objects, existing in the drawing.
The partitions divide a case length on equal parts depending on their number. The value into a field Distances of partitions adjusts in depth their position inside in the cabinet. When this value is zero, the partitions are leveled with the end panels. The division of layers on partitions and edgeband is independent from other groups of elements and it is not obligatory. The automatic control for number of partitions in relation to the
cabinet internal volume on X is not supported. The size of shelves between partitions depends on the chosen number of partitions.
The partitions create sections, in which you can define the number of shelves and distances of shelves for each section, too. The shelves divide section on equal parts on Y depending on their number.
The automatic control for number of shelves in relation to internal volume of acabinet on Y is not supported.

3D Pipes

The module creates volumetric 3D body with the exact sizes using 2D primitives as a basis (profile of pipe) and design line for description of way. To create a pipe you have to draw in View top its form using for this purpose 2D line, broken line, arch or spline. The pipe will take the form of the design line (the used 2D primitive) from first to the end point of the chosen primitive. That means, that if you have used consistently line and arch as  a design line, the pipe will be created on continuation of the specified in the drawing primitive . For the second it is necessary to repeat operation. Construction primitive must be not   braided. The braided primitives have the form 8 (number eight). They are located on the three coordinate system axes. To avoid similar situations create design primitive in 2D plain in a view top. When is necessary its end point to be different on three of axes of coordinate system you must create primitive on two parts.

After construction of design primitive and start of operation you have to choose a basis which determines the pipe profile: Rounded, Semicircle, Rectangular, Multiangular. Each model requires entering of specific parameters (its characteristic). For example, to create a square pipe, in section Basis rectangular enter identical values for length and height. For a triangular pipe in section Basis multangular enter Number of walls = 3. For not bend the sides at the creation of a pipe it is necessary correctly to define the  position of design primitive in relation to   X and Y in the drawing (vertically or horizontally do you want to set the primitive). It is actual for all  kinds of pipes.

The options Delete design line and Delete the basis primitive are checked by default. They define whether will be removed the auxiliary element, on which basis the pipe is constructed after its creation. If you will create some identical   pipes, take off a mark for deleting of the design line to use it again, moving the created pipe.

The button Set returns in the drawing to choice the point from which begin the pipe creation and  specifying of a design line (primitive), which form it must  assume.

Note: There is a primitive torsion when its first and its end points have different coordinates on the coordinate system axes. For example: if coordinates of primitive are: on Z = 0 and Y = 0 for two points the torsion is impossible. If the values for its first and its end point are different, then creates a torsional primitive.

Save as unit - Saves the created element as unit with the purpose of its use (and only) in the current job. The generated unit connects  with the nomenclature identifier TA (it is used from the module Additional elements too) . If you will use the generated element for construction of new unit (module New Base), you can remove this mark.   The saved as unit pipes  can't  be edited by the module  Change unit sizes.

Create a constructional line, on which you will extrude. Choose section for extrusion in the form.  Specify a way for extrusion till continuations of a constructional line and point for positioning of the created 3D element.

3D Closed arches

Closed 3D arches on their essence, construction and applicability are similar to the 2D arch. In the module are incorporated some operations, automatizing the construction of volumetric bodies from 2D of arches. Namely:

  • Automatic closing of an arch by one line from one to other end - External closing
  • Automatic closing of an arch by two lines from one end to the centre of an arch and from the centre to the other end of an arch - Central closing.
  • Automatic creation of area (region) from the closed arch.
  • Automatic creation of a three-dimensional body from the closed arch area.
  • Automatic addition of edgeband to the 3D arch
The Radius and thickness of an arch are obligatory parameters. To define radius you can use the button - Measure distance. It returns you in the drawing to measure a distance, specifying the first and the end point. Width of edgeband is equal to the entered material thickness (arch). If you want to add an edgeband automatically, check an option Add edgeband on arch. If you want you can add only edgeband - Only edgebands.   If you want to create new layers, is practical to make this before their connecting with an arch and edgeband, because each creation of a layer will set to zero the  already chosen layers.

Properties  - Shows the parameters by default of an arch, thickness of a material and edgeband.

The closed arch is only 3D element, component of unit. It does not create directly element base in the nomenclature of elements for calculation of the materials. Therefore addition of edgeband is quite conditional and at creation of edgeband only it is an independent 3D element, irrespective of a layer, with which it is connected. You can use "edgeband " for construction of partitions, facing, ornaments, changing the thickness of a material (edgeband) and thickness (height) of edgeband , connecting them with a layer answering to their applicability.

The kind of an arch is defined from entered in the fields Initial angle and End angle values in degrees. The angle is a positive value in relation to 0 counter clockwise (as is shown in the example) or as negative value clockwise. The absolute difference between values of an initial and end angle is an angle of an arch.

For example: to get an arch with a corner of 90 degrees it is necessary to have a difference 90 between values of an initial and end angle. The buttons with models of arches adjust the values in the fields for a angle. To get a circle, you have to enter a first angle 0 and end angle 360.

 3D Profiles

Profiles

The generated in section 3D elements can be used as ornaments or frames for creation of new units. Elements for creation of a structure are: design line and 2D primitive for a basis. Solid can be created by operation extrude.

images/profili_1.JPG Press the mouse left button on the image of a model to choose it,  to see it  or to change the profile parameters.
At first create a design line, on which will be extruded the basis in the drawing. Use operations 2D line, 2D Broken line, 2D Arch or Polyline from the toolbar (in a mode View top). Don't use a spline line. Use only one primitive, because the line must be continuous. If the line is tortuous, it is impossible to use it for extrude.

Each primitive has its own parameters (characteristic). They are set on default with optimal values. Press the left button on the necessary to choose it. Choose a way of extruding (vertical or horizontal) depending on the position of the construction line. The extrude will begin from one of its end points (you will specify it in the drawing). If the two points are under angle , choose the most suitable extruding depending on value of an angle with the purpose of  less torsion of the created body (solid). The options Delete design line and Delete the basis primitive are active by default. But if you want again to use them for other purposes except for structures, you can switch off them. In such case after extrude move the solid to have access to them.

The extruding activates by the button Set. The operation will return you in the drawing for a choice of an index point of extrude (the mouse cursor becomes a cross) and design line (the cursor becomes a square.)

Note: There is a primitive torsion when its first and its end point have different coordinates on the three of axes of coordinate system. For example: if coordinates of primitive are: on Z = 0 and Y = 0 for two points, then the torsion is impossible. If value for its first and its end point are different, then creates a tortuous primitive.

Save as unit - Saves the created element as an unit with the purpose of its use (and only) in the current job. The generated unit connects  with the nomenclature identifier TA, used from the module Additional elements too . If you will use the generated element for construction of a new unit (module New Base), you can remove this mark.  The saved as unit profiles can't  be edited by the module Change unit sizes. If the created unit will participate in formation of the drawing price, choose an option Create element nomenclature and enter its nomenclature name. The created element has a unit measure "l.m.".

Create a constructional line, on which you will extrude. Choose section for extrusion in the form.  Specify a way for extrusion till continuations of a constructional line and the insertion point of the created 3D element.

Set the profile length  choosing points in the drawing - When this option is active it is not necessary to create a constructional line and to choose a direction (Horizontal or Vertical) for extruding. The module calculates an angle and makes primitive rotation automatically. Check the option and choose a way for extrusion (Internal or External). If the option  Save as unit is active, enter the name of its layer for rendering. If the element will participate in the price  formation, mark an option  Create element nomenclature.  Press the button Create. Specify  (one by one) the basic points of design line in the project . For the end of choice press the right mouse button.
