Change element position

The operation optimizes positioning of the elements in the drawing at creation of new units. The basic applicability of the module is positioning of an element with maximal accuracy in relation to anothers, with which it has no common points of intercepting. The new position of an element sets by means of a deviation (Deviation of an element for moving) in relation to its current position in coordinate system (Element position for moving). To get maximum exact values, using a point of a magnet of the elements in the drawing, at first activate the button OSNAP. The calculated values have allowable deviations in parts of millimeter, which at large zooming can be seen.

Use the button Element position to define an element from the drawing for moving. It hides the form and returns you in the drawing to specify an element, and then the position of a point from it of your choice), in relation to which in a consequence will be defined a deviation for change of its position. The value for position of the chosen point of the element concerns to the zero point of coordinate system in the drawing.

The operation uses three ways for definition of a deviation, which are entered or are calculated into the  fields Deviation of an element for moving.

  1. Manual entering of values of deviations in the fields.
  2. Use the button Measures distance for definition of the distance on the three axes between two points. The button Measure  returns you in the drawing to specify two points, distance between which is necessary to be calculated. You can transfer values into the fields Deviation of an element for moving on each of axes (separately or all) as positive or negative values  to change the element position in the necessary direction.
  3. The deviation of an element is defined in relation to other element in the drawing Position of an element for osnap. The button Position will return you in the drawing to specify a point of other element. The buttons = loads in fields a Deviation of an element for moving the difference in a position between an element for moving and the chosen point of other element. So in a consequence, when you move (if you don't change the values for deviation manually ), the chosen points of two elements will coincide as a position in coordinate system.

The moving executes by the button Moves on the base of values into the fields for a deviation and the current element position.

If you want to move and some other elements in the drawing with the same deviations on the axes of coordinate system, after an element selection and point (position) use the button Next to specify consistently in the drawing the elements for moving with a such deviation. The method is practical to be used when a deviation is already defined by measurement of the distance between points or you have entered values manually. Do not use this method for definition of deviation with Position of element for osnap, because the conducting point is the point of the first element chosen by the button Position of element.

Auxiliary buttons:

Zero position - Make values in the fields for deviation zero.

undo-  Calculate the deviation to the previous position of an element for moving with the purpose of its restoration and returning of the element to the previous position at wrong positioning.

Plus-minus- Laod the measured value as positive or negative numbers in the fields Deviation of an element for moving. The positive values on the three axes move an element as follows: on X- to the right, on Y - upwards in the screen.

Group selection and moving of elements:  Press the button Group selection of elements

The window hides temporally and the working screen becomes active. Select the group of elements you want to move (specify an area from the drawing or select them one by one). After that press the right mouse button on the working screen. The names of the selected items will load in the list.  Enter or dimension the distances for moving and press Moves button.

To delete an item/s from the list, select it / them and press the right mouse button over selected.

Layers- Choice of layer

The connecting of different elements of the new unit, with layers is necessary for their colouring with textures in the drawing.

At creation has to be defined the respective layer for every primitive. You can have some different layers in one unit.  If it is not done, by default they connect with a base layer 0. The dialogue window Choice of layer allows you to check up the Current layer of an element, choosing it in the drawing. When you select some elements with different layers in a field as current layer loads the layer name of the last specified one. You can change or define the layer of one element or group of elements after definition of new Layer. The button Set will return you in the drawing to select elements.  The deleting of created layer releases primitives to which it is connected and automatically sets them layer 0. The new layer will be seen in the future drawings only if you use a unit, in which it is saved (participates).

Saves a new unit. The created unit is a set of elements. Unit cannot be used while it is not saved as a block. The module will create automatically, requiring from you to enter some obligatory characteristics of new unit. 

Save a unit in the menu

The module executes two kinds of unit saving: either Save a group of elements as a non-standard unit in the library  or Save a single element as unit for the current drawing only.

Save a single element as unit for the current drawing only- The operation saves a single element as a unit, without adding it in Units register or Archival units register. The unit remains only for the current drawing.   The way it works is:
Enter its dimensions and  Specify with the left mouse button its insertion point in the working field .

  1. Click the button Choise of an element for saving. It brings you back in the drawing to choose an element. The selection makes by the left mouse button.
  2. Select a base point of the unit.
  3. Enter its dimensions or use the small buttons on the right of the fields to measure them in the drawing.
  4. Specify with the left mouse button its insertion point in the working field .
  5. 5.If you have to create and element nomenclature toward it, activate the option. Creates element nomenclature. Enter nomenclature name and choose element measure from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click the button Save.

Save a group of elements as a non-standard unit in the library -step by step

  1. Open a new job and save it under a user name.
  2. Create the unit's design. You may use 2D and 3D primitives,3D elements and all of the operations from the toolbar. The type of the used elements depends on the concrete unit,which you want to get ,but the elements always must be set in top view. The operaton starts from Horizontal menu, Operations, New unit construction.
  3. Connecting the unit's elements with layer for rendering of the unit - Press the button Layer. If the layer,which you want to connect with an element,doesn't exist, you must create it. Enter its name in the field Name of layer and press the button Create.The entered name loads into the field Layer. Press the button Sets.In the working screen choose (use left mouse button) the element that you want to connect with the created layer. Confirm your choice with the right mouse button or the key ENTER. If the layer already exist in the drawing, you have to choose it from the dropdown menu in the field Layer. Each unit can contain  maximum 9 layers.
  4. Each unit in the menu exists  physically in your computer under a unique File name. Enter it in the homonymous field. Check up the option Check name. It guarantees that you won't recover an existing unit because of the name coincidence. If the unit will take part in the price formation  and the cutting out, add it in Units register. If won't - choose Archival units register.

Note: When you want to add in the menu an existing in the program system unit, in the dialog Save unit enter the file name into the field File name. Check off the field Check name -not to perform the verification for existing  file with such a name. Then the program will let you to open the dialog Unit position in the Horizontal menu. After you have added the unit in the menu and save it, close the window Save unit.

5.Choose a unit base point - Press the button Indication of the base point in the drawing and point it with the left mouse button. This is the point with which you will osnap it for manipulating. If it is necessary,use the buttons for zooming the area for better visibility. Beforehand  you can turn the view in the drawing, for example in front view, and then to open the dialog Save unit  for specifying the base point and insertion of the others unit's characterizations. When proceed the saving of the unit, the program automatically will turn the drawing in Top view, before save the unit.

  1. Add the unit in the menu - Press the button Choice of position of unit in menu .Choose a menu and submenu (if it is necessary,create a new submenu), enter User name of the unit and press the button Add in menu.. After finish the insertion of the new unit or other change in the menu,press the button Save menu to save the made changes.

Note: To add a new menu or submenu, click the Library of nonstandard units. Type the name of the new menu and / or submenu. Press button  Save menu to save the made changes and return to the original window.

  1. Press the button Save. Enter the sizes and the unit's measure. If towards the created unit will be make  an element nomenclature, choose a unit  measure "package". If the unit will take part in price formation and the cutting, enter its cost for a unit of measure, too. At the end press the button Save.

  2. Create an icon(picture) toward the unit. This step is not obligatory but in that case you will not see a preview of the unit in module Insert unit.

Note:When you have to edit an existing unit, its file must be opened. Copy it in a new drawing ( you ought to know that, while you are making a copy, the two drawings must be in a same view; for example -Top view). Then close the original file of the unit. In the new drawing, where is the copy, make the necessary changes.Save the modified unit with the same file name,as the original, but first the option Check name must be not active.
