Calc Base The
additional module to Design
Sintez for materials calculation. Accounting a price offer with the
maximal accuracy. Create a material specification for each unit
(furniture) and for the whole job.
The module uses 2 basic kinds of
units for price offer calculating: units with entered fixed
prices and units with generated element nomenclature.
- Units with fixed price - these are non-standard units
created by the module New
Base. They participate in the price offer with the entered
price in the Units
register (they have a unit of measure "pieces"). The
units saved in Archival
units register do not participate in price calculating.
- Units with created element nomenclature. It
contains 2 subgroups:
- Units with
added element nomenclature -These are
non-standard units created by module New Base, but they have a unit of
measure "package" and element nomenclature, entered by the operator
(modules Nomenclature
elements
and Nomenclature
units). All
elements change their consumption norm for each
change of the units sizes ,
in which they participate, depending on the unit measure and their
position in it. To use these units for price offer generating, you have
to place them in the Unit
register.
- Generated
polyelement units - They are units generated by modules Cabinet, Base cabinets, Sink
cabinets, Corner cabinets, Angular stands, Worktop,
Additional elements. These modules automatically
create element nomenclature of the generated units (when the
option Create an element
nomenclature
is enabled).
To generate the price
offer, you should have entered materials for connecting with elements
of the units in the drawing (Nomenclature Materials). The calculated
total
quantity of elements in the current job connects to materials for end
price formation.

The creation and definition
of nomenclatures is obligatory operation at work with units with a unit
measure "package". The first step is entering of Nomenclature Elements
and after that the Nomenclature of units. The Nomenclature Materials
can be edited on each stage of work. This sequence of creation of
nomenclatures is not obligatory. You can update them gradually. You
will save time and work, if you use an already created nomenclatures of
elements for creation of units.
The volume of nomenclatures is: Nomenclature elements
- 5000 rows, Nomenclature
units -1000, Nomenclature
units - elements (this is a productive form from
connecting of elements to units) - 10000 records (rows). You can get an
information about the status of nomenclatures in
the module Test of units
- > operation Capacity
of nomenclatures. Here you can clear the nomenclature
Units - Elements, too.

The set of elements creates a construction of the units. The
nomenclature of elements creates and can be used repeatedly
for
different units. The elements are real parts of unit, they have no
entered sizes. Their characteristics depend on the unit
parameters . To create a new element in nomenclature , press the button
New,select the created new empty row and enter its parameters
into the fields under the list.
The
element name can be any text. The sections Position and Deviation concern to the element and the probable unit, in
which it will participate in top view.

The
section Position
describes the element position in unit, for example: unit (base
cabinet) with sizes on X-60, Y-72, Z-56. We create
an element "
vertical end panel" with a position on Y and on
Z. That means, that in each
unit, in which you have connected this element, it will accept
automatically the sizes of unit on Y and on Z, independently
what
they are and will calculate an element area. If
into a
field Quantity
is
entered "2", the program will calculate a double
area. You
have to check the fields for an element position
(on X, on
Y or on Z - in this case on Y and on Z). The group of
fields Deviation
set a
deviaton of an element in relation to the
unit sizes.
I.e. an element of unit "shelf" has a
deviation on X - 3.6
cm. (1.8
centimeters from the left and 1.8 centimeter from the right) and on Z -
1.8 centimeters because of the cabinet back panel
thickness.
At definition of a measure of an element it is necessary to save it
with the measure of the
material, which will be used. You can make the test
about a correctness in logic of definition (press the button Verification).
The elements, connected to unit, remain in its
nomenclature after deleting of an element from the Nomenclature
elements.

The
Units
nomenclature is derivative of the Units register
and is intended to configure the price offer formation, the quantity of
materials and their automatic cutting (nesting).
The units
are created in the Units
register with a unit of measure "package" and are
configured as a package of elements in the Units nomenclature.
To add a new unit for creation of its element nomenclature, use the
same button (New unit).
Press the button Units
register, which become active and choose unit,
necessary for you, from the list. Then press the button Choice. Add
elements, necessary for you, to the created new nomenclature
consistently (button Adds
elements) from the Nomenclature
elements (opened only for a choice) in the view, in which
they are created. Each unit can get unlimited number of elements.
The connected
elements to the unit are saved in it and their
correction or deleting from the Nomenclature
Elements is not
reflected in the
nameconfiguration
of unit. For
similar or identical configurations of elements in units with
various s (difference in the sizes for example), you
can copy
a set of
elements of an already configured unit (Copies elements) and
then only to create their copy as a configuration (Moves elements) to
other units. The deleting of units from the nomenclature is not
reflect on the Units
register. |
Use
the button Print
to print out the nomenclature configuration of elements for
selected
units in Excel or OpenOffice Calc.It opens new empty
list with the chosen unit for printing
its element
structure (after selection of unit in the list with the nomenclature of
units). At a wrong choice of unit you have to select it in the list for
printing and press the right button on it to erase it. The
list with units for printing deletes automatically
after start printing
(button Print).
Here (Nomenclature Materials)
are described real materials, from which there will be produced
elements or they are elements participating in units. The materials
connect
to elements only at the price offer formation.At addition of
a new material (the button New) it is necessary to be entered a Name of material,
Sale price,
Measure
and the defined from the
measure sizes of the material.
If the measure is "l.m"., then enter the size on X,
for "sq.m".
- on X and on Y.
The view for sizes entering is toward view top. The sale price for
materials in measure l.m.and sq.m can be entered for entire package
(slab, roll) and the program will calculate the price for a unit of
material, based of its dimensions automatically. For pricing and cutting takes the price per unit of material (field Sale price), not Selling price for 1 package.
There isn't constraint on the length of the materials names, but it is advisable to enter a short name (up to 15 characters). Otherwise, if you use a export to software application Optimik, the name of the exported material will be cut. This in turn will lead to confusion due to mismatch of the materials' names.
If you want to differ the edgeband as thick on a cutting map check an option Thick edge for this material. To the name of the edgeband automatically adds the word thick. If you check the option Thick edge 2,
then to the name of the edgeband the word "thick 2" will be added, and
in a cutting map it will be designated by other designation (different
from this for a thick edgeband). These
two options allow to distinguish three different edgeband thicknesses
on the cutting map. In a consequence at connecting of these materials
with elements (Price offer - > List of elements) and opening of module Cutting of materials, the options Thick and Thick 2 will be reflected automatically in the list of adjoining to elements edgebands in a window Choice of edgeband (opens by the button Edgebands) .
The buttons Line downwards and Line upwards
change the sequence of the list (rearrange).
Select a material and press one of
these buttons depending on the chosen moving
direction. The change of materials sequence of in the main
list reflects
on the materials sequence on groups, too.
Classification of materials by groups - Create
a
group or choose such from the list Groups
with materials. Select
material and press the button Register
material in group.
For long lists of materials you can use the operation Search for material. Enter the name of the material in the text field. The searching makes at the beginning of a word.
The button Verification
makes a logic test of the entered sizes and the chosen measure. Their
entered prices must answer to the respective unit of measure
(piece -
individual price, sq.m. - price of square meter, l.m.. - price of
linear meter). You can add and change the nomenclature of
materials each time
you need.
Setion Equalizing of calculated expense to the material dimensions
Here
defines what will be the waste of material, ie. how much will be
increased the calculated material quantity for a product and report Calculation on units/ Total.
Waste % -
The field specifies the percentage that will increase the calculated
quantity of material and the value will be entered as a waste to it.
The sum of the two values defines the total quantity required to
manufacture the article. When there is a entered value into the field,
the other options are inactive and vice versa - if you choose one of
two options, the value into the field nullifies.
To the half -
If this option is checked, when calculating the total amount of
material it will be equated to half the size of sheet materials
(melamine faced chipboard, hardboard, etc.) or half length for
materials with unit of measure measure "lm". If the calculated amount
is more than half of the sheet / roller or rod, the quantity will be
equated to the whole area / length of the specified material.
To whole- If
this option is checked, when calculating the total quantity of material
it will be equated to the entire surface of sheet materials (melamine
faced chipboard, hardboard, etc.) or to the entire length of the
material with a measure "lm" - edgebands, profiles, etc.
If into the field has entered Waste% value, the options "To the half" and "To whole" are disabled.
Double click with left mouse button on the options To the half or To whole turns off them.
For example:
In the nomenclature was material edgeband with unit of measure lm and
roll length 50m. For an article is calculated quantity of edgebands 23
lm.
- If have been entered Waste% = 10% for this material in the report "Calculation on units/ Total" the result is: Quantity = 23 meters. ; Waste = 2.3 m and total = 25.3 m.
- If for the same material is active options To the half - Quantity = 23 meters.; Waste = 2m. and Total = 25 meters.
- For selected option To whole - Quantity = 23 meters., Waste = 27 m and Total = 50m.

The module calculates
automatically price of the job based on the participating in it units
(based on the entered prices of the units or materials for
their
manufacture). In the process of price offer generating participate all
units with generated element nomenclature (when their element
nomenclature is connected to materials) and the units which have an
entered price in the Units
register.

The price offer can include 2 kinds of units:
- Existing in the drawing units
- Additional units, not existing in the drawing.
Existing in the drawing units
These
are generated units with created element nomenclatures to them and
non-standard units (desks, tables and etc.), inserted in the drawing by
module Insert units.
They are specified with " from
a job" in the list.
Colunm number with price from Units register- This value defines what price from Units register to be taken in price generating
for the selected unit. If the list contains several identical units,
they receive a common number of column, ie there can be not several
units with the same name and different prices.
Added to the price offer - Additional
They
don't exist in the drawing. They are added for the price offer
generating only and participate in it and in material calculating. They
are specified as " additional"
in the list. The way of their addition is: Press the button Add. Opens a dialog
describing the content of Units
register. Select a unit from the list and press Select. Enter a
column number (from 1 to 4) from Units
register to define the price of the unit.
To delete such a unit from the list, select it and press
Delete.
The button Offer
opens specification to the already created price offer in Excel or OpenOffice
(if certainly you have connected the generated element nomenclature
with materials and have defined the prices of units with fixed prices).
The option On
units adds a detailed list for the expense on
elements for each unit to the printed specification. It is active by
default.
The
elements of units with unit of measure "package" which participate in
the price offer, must be connected with materials. Press the
button Elements
list. Loads a form for connecting - Register of participating in the
drawing elements.

The section Elements
includes the specification of the calculated expense for each of the
participating
elements in used in the drawing units. Their quantities
are
calculated on the basis of their relations with units and depending on
their measure. The list with the materials can be filtered
according to the measure and with the buttons in the upper end of the
dialog - sq.m,l.m and piece. Select
an element from the list (with double clicking the left mouse button).
In the right list are loaded the materials with the unit of
measure responding
to the measure of the selected element for
connecting. Choose a material and press the button between them (Choice
of material). You can choose a material from group or from
the
complete list with materials. In the long lists with materials it is possible to sort the list on a Material name; Length or Width of the materials or to use Search for material... field. When there is a found concurrence the cursor will be set on a respective line.Specify and connect consistently elements
appropriate to the selected material or other material in the list.
If
there is an element associated with the material that must be assigned
to another element (or elements), select the associated row and
right-click on it. In the upper left corner of the window is displayed
the name of the copied material. To connect it with other items, select
them with left mouse button and then right click on the marked rows. The prices of units from Units
register are loaded automatically from the specified
column in the Units
register. You, certainly, can connect them with a
material, if the structure of unit allows this.
There is a small window with the description of the materials,
connected with elements in the job ( in the right bottom corner of the
form). It is intended for group selection of elements, connected with a
concrete material and their reconnecting with other material. Select a
material from the list. In the left field are specified all elements
connected to it . Choose other material from the nomenclature and
connect the elements to it.
- This button opens the module
Nomenclatures for price formation. You can open Nomenclature materials
and create a new material for connecting with elements without
leaving the current operation (Price
offer formation).
Enter a new material and save the made changes in the nomenclature. The
made changes become seen in the working list after an exit from the
module Nomenclatures for
price formation.
ATTENTION! For
units in the drawing, which have only one element and unit of measure,
different from "package" and have got entered prices
in the Units register
on columns, the price from the
Units register
is accepted with priority (according to chosen columns: 1-4
),
regardless of the fact that you connect an element to a material. To
connect an element with a material, the prices on a column in the Units register must
be 0. For example: if for the identifier of the
generated worktop "TK" has an
entered price in the column 1
("Price 1") at operation
Price offer formation (even
if connect the element with a material from the nomenclature), in a
consequence the program will cancel the connecting and will restore the
price from the Units
Register.

Press the button Offer to print out the specification.
The specification creates in a file "C:\Proekti.xls"
or "C:\Proekti.ods"
, in format Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc.
This file
is created on your disk at installation of Design Sintez (The
choice of program makes in the form System
parameters.).
The
specification can be detailed (separately for each unit) or
generalized. The option On units prints а detailed
specification.
Irrespective of the chosen kind of the specification always
under
the list with the participating units you can see the total calculation
by elements and materials, connected to them.
After the end of processing Excel (or OpenOffice) it will
ask you whether you want to save the made changes.
Press Cancel
and you can edit the made specification. If you choose No, the table closes
without saving. If you choose Yes,
it closes and saves as page in a file Proekti.
Subsequently you can open this file again and to make changes in the
chosen page. Closing it, Design Sintez automatically returns
you
in the current working drawing.
The generated and saved price offers remain as pages in Proekti.xls (or Proekti.ods).
Excel
and OpenOffice
support up to 256 pages in one file. Therefore it is
necessary to
look through and to delete the unnecessary pages
periodically.
The address and the name of a file Proekti.xls
(or Proekti.ods)
must be not changed, as well as name of page Prices.
