page Elements

In this page are described all element nomenclatures of the generated cabinets. The nomenclature names can be edited by entering new names into the fields. The entered in such a way unique nomenclature concern only with the current generated unit. At the subsequent opening of the module the given by default names will be restored. If you want to save the entered names, set them in a mode by default.

Sets the current values  for rotation of details in a mode by default - This button saves the current values for rotation  of detail's sizes from the list for cutting and applies them for next loading of module and creation of new cabinets. Double click on the item of the list allows / forbids the its rotation. 

Sets the base (system) values  for rotation of details - The button restores and sets the program settings for rotation of details for cutting by default, irrespective of current settings. 

Section Basic nomenklature name of elements -

This list allows the simultaneous change of nomenclature names of several items with common basic name (bottom, top, end panels -left and right, etc.). The change is reflected in the other lists, too: with the current names of the generated element nomenclatures and that with the items subject of turning during the cutting process. It is reflected  in the windows for editing of settings for all elements.For example: Let's change the nomenclature name "bottom".  All other names that begin with it - Bottom front edgeband,Bottom back edgeband, etc will be changed, too. To edit a name select it in the list. It loads into the field Name correction. Type the new name of the nomenclature and pass to another line to update the lists.

Sets the base (system) names of the elements as current - Returns the names of the generated element nomenclatures by default as current

Sets the current names of the elements in a mode by default - Sets the entered into the fields element nomenclatures as parameters by default

These 2 buttons allow the parallel usage of the current names of the element nomenclatures, saved by default and the base (system) names of the elements (they sets during installation of the software).  To set your user names as base /  system, enter their names into the form, press Sets the current names of the elements in a mode by default and then press the button Sets the base (system) names of the elements as current. In this way at the next opening of the module the entered by you names of the element nomenclatures will be active .

The right-hand list with the cabinet's elements contains information for details, for which the rotation of the sizes for cutting is allowed. The parameter sets for each detail  separately and concern with the generated block only. The double click of the left mouse button on the detail's  name changes the value of the parameter Allows rotation of the detail dimensions for operation Cutting (Ok or No). The entered information is used for cutting map formation and allows its optimization. If you use one-coloured materials or the texture direction does not matter, press the button Allows rotation of the all details' sizes for optimal cutting out map .

Page Layers

Colour combinations of the contour lines - The color schemas are combinations of colors for the contour lines of the different elements in the unit .To save a schema, choose the colors, enter a schema's name into the field New scheme creation, and press the button Save combination. To load an already saved schema, select it in the list and press the button Set combination. The purpose of this operation is the easily and quickly loading of the created combination and there isn't necessary to enter the schemes each time.To delete created construction, select it in the list and press Delete combination.
You can set a different color for each detail's contour. The colour of shelves' contours depends on their  way of dimension drawing  - On clear size or On centre. The choice of colour makes by pressing the button from the right of the name of each layer. The window  Colors opens. Specify a colour (press the mouse left button on the needed). Then press the Set button. The specified colour of the contour lines of the details can be set in a mode by default.
You can change the layers' name into the respective field (enter  the new name in it).

Sets the current names of layers in a mode by default - Sets the entered names of layers into the fields in a mode by default.

Additional elements

The program supports 2 ways of insertion of elements to the generated cabinet:

Entering of additional element nomenclatures -  The section allows a manual entering of additional elements for the generated cabinet. They remain when you save the cabinet as a temlate. The entered elements concern only with this unit and they will be not  active after an exit from the module.

-  Press this button to add  a row to the list Nomenclature of additional elements. If you want to make the nomenclature active, select it and press Load  nomenclature from the list. The deleting makes by a similar way, but you have to use the button Delete nomenclature from the list.

For long lists use the operation Searching for element... Enter its name or part of it into the field Searching for addit. element.... If there is a match in the beginning of the name it will be shown. If you want to find a match in the beginning of the name, click on the button at the right of the field. For searching for a match as a part of element name, click on the second button.

Choice of additional elements from the nomenclatures. - The buttons on the right of the textual fields are buttons for a choice. They open Nomenclature elements for a choice of elements for addition. The added thus elements remain active after an exit  from the module.

The added additional elements are not shown on the screen. They participate in price formation only.

Page Dimensioning

Parameters by default - Dimensioning

In this page are specified the distances of  cabinet elements for dimensioning. The dimensioning can be made in relation to the centres of the material thickness  for  partitions, panels, bottom and top (if the option "Show distances on the centres for PARTITION FROM THE  LEFT - PANELS  INSIDE - TOP DOWN and for BOTTOM BELOW" is active) or in relation to their bottom point. The not specified in the form distances of the details are shown on the right of the drawing.

Dimensioning the shelves and drawers from below upwards (switched off) / from above downwards (switched on) to the adjacent element - When the option isn't checked, the shelves and drawers will be dimensioned in direction from below - upwards. When it's active - rom above - downwards to the adjacent element (partition or side panel - left or right).

If you want to turn off the showing of the lists with the thicknesses of elements and their colours in the dimensioned sketch, the options  Show a list with the thicknesses of elements and/or Show a list with the colours of elementshave to be unchecked. This is necessary for cabinets with a lot of elements to avoid the congestion of the drawing.

Design Sintez Proffesional - Personal dimensioning of units, option Dimension the distances for details with not rectangular shape – When option is active there are sized distances, that characterized details with nonrectangular shape in measurement individual parts (top , left/right end).

Desig Sintez Proffesional - Measurement the depth of the shelf supports - When sizing the shelves , you can specify their position and also you can measure the depth of the holes to place shelf supports to them. For this purpose , you must check the „Depth of holes for shelf supporters“.

Desig Sintez PROFESSIONAL - Add values for diameter and depth of the holes - Specifies the dimensioning of a holes' diameter and depth for installation of the furniture fitting. If the option  is not checked will be dimensioned only the distances of apertures.

Page Shelves

Page Shelves

Here sets the parameters and the way of dimensioning for shelves by default (for Dimensioning by Cabinet module).

Dimensioning On centre and On clean size In the first case, the size applies from the end of the adjacent element (ånd panel or partition) to the half shelf thickness. In the second - towards its down edge. The choice becomes inactive if you select a shelf support scheme.

Template schemes of furniture fittings - They adjust the generating of shelves with shelf supports to them. The shelf supports create own element nomenclature for pricing. Each shelf can have 2-4-6 or 8 shelf supporters.

Distance between the center of hole and shelf - Value in field determines the distance from the centre of the hole for putting  the shelf support to the lower end of the shelf.

Attachment of 3D object  of furniture fitting to custom template scheme and its visualization in the drawing at generation of a unit /shelfsupports, wood pins, minifix/.

To attach 3D object of furniture fitting ,enter its name in the field Shelf support name. Enter file name without the file extension and its ending symbols for left and right model. For example : if your shelf support name is Shelfsupport ,you must have two files with that name ,that ending with _1 for left and _2 ,saved in folder "...\acad_pic\bazi\", and in field Shelf support name to enter only Shelfsupport. In the right of the register with saved schemes will be shown the attached file in schematic  view. If you want to shows  picture view of the element, you must have saved its image Shelf support. jpg in folder "...\acad_pic\bazi_ico\" and for assembly scheme – Shelf support_ scheme .

Configuring the template system - enable for Design Sintez Professional only

In the section are entered and record new schemes. Moreover, can be changed and existing ones, and to be deleted from list. To edit the settings of an existing scheme, select it from the list, make the necessary changes and press Save Scheme.

To create a new scheme click New scheme. The fields for entering parameters become active. To create not just furniture fitting , but a variation of an existing one, first activate the option from the right (Creates variant/ copy of the marked element in the list ), select an element from the list and then press the button New scheme. Enter the name of the scheme and element nomenclature for shelf supports toward it. Set and the other parameters (diameter and depth of the hole, number of shelf supports, distances from left and right of the shelf, etc.) and press the Save Scheme.

Scheme will be deleted by selecting it from the list and click Delete scheme.

Design Sintez Professional
Front distance, Back distance, Step - Determine the position of shelf supports in depth of the shelf.
Front distance< - Distance from the beginning of the shelf to the center of the hole of the first shelf support.
Back distance- Distance from the rear edge of the shelf to the center of the hole of the last shelf support.
Step - The distance between the centers of the holes of the shelf supports.

Possible variants:
1. Zero distances in front and at the back + entered step - Shelf supports will be allocated at equal distances in depth of the shelf. Number of the shelf supports depends on the step and depth of the shelf, but not determined by the specified quantity in template scheme.
2. One entered distance + step - First shelf support is positioned on the set distance. The others are positioned in the depth of the shelf , according to the specified number. The distance between the centers of the holes is proportional to the step.
3.Two entered distances + zero step - The first and second shelf support are positioned on the set distances in front and at the back. Other shelf supports  are distributed at equal distances between them.

Choice of cabinet details to which to be added selected fixing element - In this section defines to which details in the cabinet can be attached the currently selected fixing element. Can be selected some details together or all of them (click on button All). The made choice comfirmes by Save combination button. The current fixing element is visible in the list Template schemes of fittings of the details.

When option Positioning centre of a hole in the shelf centre (it is in front of the field Distance from the centre of the hole to the shelf) is active  the centre of the hole of shelf support will be equalized with the level of the centre of the shelf and the field for entering the distance will deactivate. When  option is off ,you have to enter distance between centre of the hole of shelf support  and lower end of the shelf, that is suitable for the respective construction.

Additional drilling of end panels

In section is defined if to be additional rows with holes toward the main for assembling the shelf support, so the shelf can be moved to different position in height of the cabinet. To add holes above the main one, activate the option Above , and for holes below the main -  Below. Choose their number from the respective dropdown list. In field Distances between rows enter the step of position of the holes (distance between their centres).

To set a listed scheme in a mode by default, select it and click Save.This way it will be applied by default for next cabinet generating.

Page Drawers

Drawers settings

Thickness of drawers' bottom  - The value in the field set the bottom thickness for all generated drawers.The active check box double its thickness and amount of elemental NOMENCLATURE for pricing and cutting. The bottom thickness for drawers, generated before the change does not change automatically during the cabinet's editing(old value is retained).

Back on the bottom / Back behind the bottom -When the option is active the drawer's back panel is on the bottom. When it is switched off the design Back behind the bottom  becomes active.

Bottom inside/ Bottom below - If the option is active, the drawer's bottom is between its panels  and its size will decrease with the thickness of their material. When this flag is not checked, the bottom position is under its panels.

Edgeband on left and right  back panel's edge - The option set the edgebanding of the left and right edge of the  drawer's back panel (for drawers METABOX ).

Edgebands all invisible not covered sides - If this option is chosen, all uncovered, but  invisible parts of drawer details will be covered by edgeband. Otherwise the ending will be executed only for the uncovered and visible sides of  front and back  drawer panels.

Edgebanding the bottom front edge, Edgebanding the bottom back edge-  These options set the edgebanding of the front and/ or back side of the drawers' bottom. They are enabled for drawers "Metabox"

Change the depth - This parameter specify a value for increasing/ decreasing the drawers' depth depending on its slider's length. The positive values decrease its depth, the negative increase it.The entered value loads in the field Change the depthin the window Shelves' parameters for concrete section. The length of the drawer slider doesn't change. You have to re-enter the drawers' parameters in window  Shelves' parameters after changing the value into this field .

Reduces the bottom sizes from all sides - This value determines how to be decreased the size of the drawers’ bottom on each side. Parameter is active for the construction of the drawer type Box and position of the bottom of the drawer Bottom below

Distance of back panel - The value set the decreasing (or increasing) of the drawer's back panel length (for drawers METABOX). The negative values increase their length and the positive decrease it. The entered value loads automatically into the field with such a name in the window  Shelves parameters for the respective section.

Additional raising of the drawer case - This value concerns with all generated cabinet drawers. It sets the value for additional raising of drawer box (it doesn't include the value of box parameter  Distance below in the window Shelves' parameters ). The entered value does not influence on the generated by operation Group addition and deleting of units doors' position.  For example: you have entered a value for additional raising = 0.5 centimeters and position " On Z " =0.  The box occupies a position from a floor = 0.5 cm. but door (facade) to it  has a position from a cabinet base point = 0.

Distance of the left, right and  front panels on top - It's only for the drawers kind "box". The value of this parameter defines  how much to decrease the drawer's height of the front and the end panels in relation to the external height of the drawer case. For example: if the drawer box height is 25 cm. and the entered value is 10cm., the front and  end panels become 15cm height. The back panel's height remains 25cm. This parameter sets for each drawer one by one.

Case height –Defines the height of drawer case  by default. The value participate and at saving of the template construction of drawer and applies at pointing it in the dialogue Shelves ,drawers ,rods for clothes -Parameters.

Back panel - When option is active, drawers will generate with back panel and bottom. If it is not marked, drawer will contains only bottom. Option reflects only to drawers with metabox construction.

Dado joint of bottom in back panel - When the option is enabled the drawer back panel will be levelled to the end panels as a position and height. The bottom will cut in it with the same dado value  like end panels.

Dado joint of bottom in back panel - When the option is enabled the drawer front panel will be levelled to the end panels as a position and height. The bottom will cut in it with the same dado value  like end panels.

Template construction of the drawers - They are combinations of parameters, saved as template and forming drawers with fixed construction. They are applied to drawers at cabinet generation and thus they set them their saved parameters.

Creation of a new template construction - Press New construction button. The field Construction name activates for entering. Enter the name and set the construction parameters: drawer type, distances, edgebanding etc. To add runners to drawer ,choose the model (left button selects runner ,right - nullifies connection).The nomenclature name of the runners ,with which they participate in price-formation, also can be changed. After you have made all settings , press Saves construction .In version Design Sintez STANDARD you can create up to ten constructions , and in Design Sintez PROFESSIONAL- one hundred.

Edit a saved construction - Choose the construction in the list, do the changes and click Save construction.

Deleting of  construction - Choose the construction in the list and press Delete construction.

Set values by default of the parameters as current - Loads last saved (with button SAVE) values of the parameters as current.

Set base values of the parameters as current - Nullifies made settings and sets values of the parameters  set at the program installation.

Configuration template scheme of  drawer runner - for Design Sintez Professional only
Button Configuration template scheme of runner loads dialogue for setting or changing the holes position, which must be made in panels or partition, for fit the drawer’s runners.

Diameter and Depth of holes - Diameter and Depth of holes - The values specify a diameter and depth of holes for of slides' installation.

In upper right end of the dialogue are shown the default values for position of the holes’ centers in height. The upper value is for first two holes and the second one-for the rest.
The choice is made with left mouse button and right mouse button nullifies the selection. Distances are set toward lower front point of the runner. Co-ordinates change is possible with entering in fields new values.
Made settings are saved with button Save. Marked in the list Drawers' template constructions will be set in default mode and will be applied when adding new drawers to the unit. For exit without saving the changes ,choose Cancel.

Configurating of template scheme ball bearing roller - full extension

Sets the slides in relation to the lowermost drawer box's point.- Specifies the slide installation the on a level with the lowest point of the drawer. The position of the centers of the holes for mounting the ball bearing runner will be determined by the value in the field On Y. When it is turned off, the slide will be positioned in the center of the drawer end panel and the centers of the holes for its mounting will be determined according to the center of the drawer end panels and value On Y.

So entered parameters are general for all template drawer construction ,using concrete model runner. They are reflecting at dimensioning of the entire unit and at dimensioning the separate elements of it.
Button Cancels entered parameters cancels the made adjustments and remove markers indicating a position of apertures for slides' installation. In such a way scheme can be cleared for creation of a new combinationquickly and simply.

Variants of Slides -creation and work with them

Variants of slides represent production combinations of parameters of the main model slide , based on which they have been created. The copy may be set and may be used independently of the original.
To save a new variant, choose the model of the main slide and enter name of the variant. Press the button Create variant of the slide. After you have created the variant, it has received the settings of the original of which it is derivative. To change them, choose it in the list and press Configuration template scheme of slide. Opens a dialogue for editing the parameters - which holes to be measured , position, diameter and depth of holes etc. Make the needed changes and save them with button Save.
So created copy is not depending on the original and can be used fully independently, to participate in template constructions of drawers.

Cabinet-other settings

Automatic scaling of distances of the non-rectangurlar  details - The option defines whether to scale automatically the distances of the elements with nonrectangular form, when the external dimensions of the cabinet are changed.The option is not active at the first generation of the unit.The scaling is not executed for the entered radiuses of the nonrectangular shapes.

Entering radiuses constructing nonrectangular forms of the elements in current unit of measurement - Sets entering rounding radius of the details at nonrectangular shape in the chosen unit of measurement. If it isn’t checked, rounding is entering as proportion between the convexity degree of the arc and the half of the distance between two end points.

Thickness of edgebands - This is a list to choose a edndeband's thickness by default. If you want to add a new value, write it and click in another field. To delete a value select it and click the button before the list.

Save as unit

Option by default.  Specifies saving of the polyelement form as block (basic point - bottom front left).You must remove the mark if you want to use the generated cabinet for additional processing in the additional module to the program New Base and save it as other unit. The option Creates the element nomenclature switches off automatically in this case.


Section Back panel
Here is define back panel's position which is set by default and applies at new cabinets generating.For existing cabintes saves their position set on generation.
Butted to end panels - Back panel distance

Parameter defines the position of the back panel in conformity with the external cabinet sizes. The positive value decreases the back panel sizes, and negative increases them. Parameter is set by default and defines a deviation of the cabinet back panel at the generating of its nomenclature.

Dado joint - Between panels-This is the value of parameter by default of the distance of the of a back panel inside on a cabinet depth at Dado joint. It automatically loads into a field Between panels of the window Construction settings - back panel in the module Cabinet.

Dado joint  - Dado -This is the value by default of the distance of the back panel on which it cuts into adjoined to it elements (top, bottom and end panels) at Dado joint . It automatically loads into a field Dado of the window Construction settings - back panel in the module Cabinet.

Rabbeted joint  - Dado -  This is the value by default of the distance of the back panel on which it cuts into adjoined to it elements (top, bottom and end panels) at Rabbeted joint . It automatically loads into a field Dado of the window Construction settings - back panel in the module Cabinet.

Page Exploded view

Here sets the exploded view scheme parameters. The fields Line 1 and Line 2 contain the explanatory texts to the created scheme.

The option Delete a unique code from the elements' name relates to exploded view only. When the option is enabled  at generating of exploded view cabinet the names of the elements in specification to it will be written without unique code or word Cabinet in the beginning.The generated element nomenclatures save the entered unique code.

Section Mode of sizes' visualization- Here defines how to be described the elements in the specifications to the reports Exploded view and Dimensioning.

  • Length - Height - Depth - When the option is checked,  the elements will participate in the reports with their sizes  on all three directions of unit depending on their position in it.
  • Length - Width- When the option is checked the sizes of elements will participate in the reports on two directions : on length and on width of an element. In this case the elements with a unit of measure "l.m"  will have only length.

Show the elements with a unit of measure "l.m" in the list - The option defines the inclusion or not of the elements with unit of measure "l.m"  in the lists of the reports Exploded view and Dimensioning.

Show the elements with a unit of measure "pieces" in the list- The option defines the inclusion or not of the elements with unit of measure pieces  in the lists of the reports Exploded view and Dimensioning.

Page Elements - Operations - Enabled for Design Sintez Professional only

On this page carries out connection of the elements of the generated  cabinets with operations , used in their processing to add value in the quantity of the total cost.

The formation of this cost is based on connecting of generating units in certain parts thereof (left end , bottom, top , etc.) with operations, which are used in their processing.  Based on the cost of operation “for the whole operation " and number of related elements , when there is generate a price offer for the job ( Module Price offer formation, Elements’ list, button PRO) it is calculating the expense Elements-> Operations , such as a product of the number of elements and the price operation , with which they are connected. If there are several elements, related to different operations, quantity accumulate. For example: There is 1 element , connected with a price Operation; 1 with price BGN 2 / operation and 3 elements , related to Operation 2 with price for operation 5 BGN. Pressing the button PRO in module Price offer formation, we get:

  • Operation1 .............................. 1pc  õ  2 BGN =    2BGN
  • Operation2.................................3pc õ  5BGN. =   15BGN
  • Total Element ->Operations..................................17BGN

Thus, the calculated quantity participated in the formation of the final price offer and the report Calculation on units / Total, if this is specified in the general settings of module Cutting , page Reports' parameters.

Connecting the Element with operation is performed as follows: From the list Current names of the generated element nomenclatures , select the elements you want to connect with operation. In the next field is a list of all operations from the nomenclature with entered price for whole operation. Select operation and click the button, located between the two fields. The result will be seen in the third column. It shows the total number of the connected elements with operations. To cancel a connection , select it and click Delete row or Delete All.  If there already are connected elements with operation and you want to reconnect them with other operation , double click with mouse over the operation name in the list. In register with elements will be marked connected  to it elements and the already made connections. Choose the new operation and press button Connects selected elements with operations (the long button between first and second field).

Searching for  an element from the list for connection with operation - To find an element from the list  ,  enter its name in field below list with elements and press the button for searching in right of it. When there is match, respective element activates for connection with operation and stays active till unmark it. For searching for a next match  , press the button again.

To edit the settings of an existing operation or to create a new one , press the button in the upper right corner of the window. It opens Nomenclatures for price formation, where you can run Nomenclature operations to make the necessary changes. After exit from Nomenclatures for price formation changes become visible in the page Elements – Operations.

So entered list refers only to the currently generated unit. If you want to remain active and at the next generating , you must save it in default mode. This is a button Save in a mode by default - At pressing it , there are saved and applied to any subsequent startup of the module currently configured elements , connected with operations. For this purpose, must be proactive the option Always sets the saved by default as current. So the next generating of a cabinet-related elements with these operations will be active and you will not have to connect them every time. If the option is not active, the next time the module list will not be loaded until you click Set the saved by  default as current.
