Texture libraries


The operation enables the preview and connecting of textures  for colouring  with layers in the drawing. The textures are divided on groups depending on their applicability.  Each group forms library, from where you can choose  necessary textures for connecting with layers. In libraries of the full program  version there are  4737 textures, by which you can add new. 

Material library

The module  shows the list of all not repeating layers of units in the drawing and textures, connected to them. To connect a layer with a texture it is necessary to make the following:

1. Select a layer from the list,

2. Open a library

3. Choose a texture

There are 2 ways to select layers:

Individual layer's selection - Allows to select only one layer for connecting. In this mode is shown an informational list (Units to which layer belongs) with units participating in the current project, which use selected layer for connecting with a texture (Layers in the drawing).Specify a unit in the list to see it. The operation takes the information from the existing common list of all units in the Units register and Archival about the layers, used from them.  The units, added in system by operation Import of units do not register their  layers in this list. Therefore you should periodically activate the module Layers, participating in units (in this list you can change the layers names to each unit) and to update the common list with layers participating in the Units register and Archival

Group selection of layers -Allows to select some next (left button of the mouse on the first, then the  Shift key + pressing of the left button on the last layer) and not next (detain the Ctrl  key pressed and press the left mouse button to select layers) layers in the list .

The double click with the left mouse button on a library name opens it. The texture images are buttons for a choice. Click unitary on the chosen texture. If you want to see a texture in its original size, press the right button on its image. The program automatically takes it from library and connects to the selected layers. The textures are loaded in the list for connecting with layers (with their user name,  shown above the textures).The list of layers and connected with them materials (columns Layers in project and Connected materials) can be sorted in alphabetic order (press the mouse left button on the column title). 

When you have a connected texture to  layer, but have missed to select all layers in the project, which needed to be connected with the chosen texture, specify the layer in the list, connected to this texture(by mouse left button) , and press the right button to copy it. Then mark the missed layers and press again the left button. This way you can connect  the same texture to the chosen additional layers without repeating the operation of a texture choice.

Double click by the mouse left button on a line (row)  in the list shows the texture, connected to a selected layer.
If you want to disconnect a layer from texture, connected to it, select  this line (row) in the list with layers and activate the button Disconnect. The repeated connecting of texture to a layer cancels the previous one and set the current.

Texture - library - This operation searches and selectes the library, from which is the specified texture in the list Connected textures with layers. It makes searching and specify the library in which is the entered into the text field above texture, too.(Enter the name into the text field and press the button. In the list with the libraries shows the library in which is found the searched texture. Loads the page with the found texture.)

Connected textures with layers - In this list are described all textures connected to layers in the drawing. The option allows a group selection of all layers connected with concrete material and its fast replacement with another one. Choose its name into the field.  All layers connected to it become marked automatically. Choose a new texture for change from the user  libraries. 
If you want to change the texture settings, select it in the list and press the right mouse button on its name. A dialogue window with such a  name opens. You can choose between two options -  Maps the material according to the boundaries of the rendered surface or Maps the material according to a fixed scale  thus the material image is tiled to the surface boundaries. 

Section Texture rotation- The button Texture rotation loads the material in  Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, whence you can specify any direction of pattern (using buttons and ). After that close the application window.  Move the mouse over the preview to update it. The operation is active for all textures. It is useful for change of pattern's direction of  wood materials, carpets etc.

Create copy of texture  - Creates a copy of the selected material.  The created copy takes a place after its original. The copy remains in library and it can be used in other drawings. The original remains connected with the already specified layers. The operation is recommendatory for change of the textures's direction  for wood materials, wallpapers, tiles, stones and other inhomogeneous materials with simultaneous saving of the original material. The mode of work is:

1.Press this button to create the copy. You can see it  after its original in the same user library . On the working screen will appears a message for  successful ending of the operation.

2. Turn the created copy. Now you have one texture (material) with an opposite direction of pattern, too.

   If you don't know the texture name,which you seek,but you remember the layer with which it is connected,use the operation  Show the chosen textute in the list with these used in the drawing. Specify the row with the connected with the material layer and press the floating button,which appears between the two windows: the window with the schedule of connected with textures layers and the window with schedule with the used textures (Connected textures with layers). As a result,the palette will be specified up automatically, selecting  the connected with it layers too.Thus, the texture you need can be found quickly and loaded for copying or correction of the parameters.


Reconnect materials with layers - Restores disconnected links of layers with textures, saving their parameters - fitting to objects, its pattern direction and etc. The  Chrome and Glasses materials are exception. It is recomended to use the operation when  the layer and texture are connected in the list,but the texture do not applies toward the layer.

Delete the unused layers from the list - The button deletes  the residual  layers of deleted or corrected units in the project with modified layers' names.To clear the list, press the button several times consistently. 

Press the button Set to save the made changes. You must have in view that if you have been connected this texture with some layers, the made change will reflect on each of them.

Material's library

Sets the characteristics by default - Set the basic values of the parameters of the loaded texture.

Button Set - Saves the made changes without additional confirmation.

Variants - creation and work with them

The variants are saved combinations of connected layers with textures, along with their characteristics: pattern direction,rotation and etc., with the exception of materials in libraries Chrome and Glasses.This structure allows to save three variants with connecting of layers with textures and their setting as current for the drawing's rendering.


Variants - creation and saving:

1. Connect the layers in the list with textures. You can change the textures' settings -  pattern direction,rotation and etc. for each one.

2. Press Creates variant. If there is a previous saved variant, the new one automatically recovers it and saves directly.

Press Load variant to load an already saved one. After loading of the variant connect the layers with materials again by button Set.

Deleting of variant - If you want to delete a variant, press the button with X above the list. The operations executes  after confirmation.

Layer - texture -Appropriates to all untied to material layers set on default in the module Layer - texture. All units in the drawing  with an identical names of layers connects to the texture of the first found coincidence of a layer name, irrespective of unit, in which it  is included.

The option Zoom / Tile changes a way of textures' preview. You can see an original texture preview when the option Tile is active. For libraries Upholstery, Posters, Carpets, Pictures and Landscapes use the option Zoom.

Material library

Window height (Parameters by default) - Automatically set the windows height of the user's libraries. It must be corrected manually (zoomed in) when the lowermost texture line is invisible. It can be a result of non-standard settings of screen resolution of your monitor. 

Searching for a texture in an opened user library  - The searching executes only for the current opened library. Enter the material name into the text field  Search and press the button above it.  The name of the found texture shows on a blue background.

One-colour textures- This is a user library, built - in in the program. Contains 16777216 colours for connecting with layers in the drawings. The library uses RGB colour system for mixtures of three primary colours: Red, Green, Blue. They are expressed in a number values in a range from 0 up to 255. When the form loads  these three counters have a  zero value. You can turn  three counters simultaneously or each one counter separately using buttons - arrows. The number of buttons for visualization is 50 on the screen. To choose a concrete colour for connecting with layer, make the following:

1. Click on the button of the chosen colour.

2. Close the window.

3. If you want to save a colour  with the purpose to use it again for other jobs, press the mouse  right button on  its image.  You can save up to 10 colours. Specify a colour, necessary to you, in the tape, using the mouse left button and close the form.

Library  - The button opens a form for creation and control of user texture libraries for rendering  in the program. Here you can create your own library on a concrete workplace and to load a material, necessary to you, from Main library. The Main library contains all textures in the program. The creation of user's  libraries saves time and accelerates a choice of material, ignoring those ones, which are not necessary to you. 

To add a texture to user library, do the following:
1. Into a field Main library select necessary material.
2. Specify library in a field Texture libraries, to which you want to add a texture.
3. Press the button " > > > > > ". 

Operations " Delete texture library " and " Delete a texture from library" do not change the contents of the main library. When you delete a material you must to have in view whether they were connected  with layers in existing drawings or not. In this case if you  try to render them in a consequence, the texture will not be found and the drawing can not be rendered.

The libraries: One-colour textures, Glass, Chrome, Main library are build-in in the program. They can not be deleted.  Libraries  Metals and Glass (Glases): the way of working is as a standard user libraries. The texture for transparent glass is Glass1

The button  Not distributed textures on libraries makes check whether all the materials from the main library are sorted in user libraries or not. The result of checking is shown as a list into a field  Main library for distribution on user libraries. Click on the button Loads texture from main library to finish this operation (checking).The found not sorted materials can be selected on groups with the purpose of their faster addition to libraries. If you want to delete a texture from the list, select it and press the button Delete. The button Delete all deletes the entire content of the list.

 Line down, Line up - Move the selected material upwards and downwards in the list. The buttons from the right of them move a material on first (or on last) line in it. By this way each user can rearrange each user's library and speed up the process of connecting of layers with materials.

Search on a user name and Search on a file name - Searches on a texture name,entered into the fields User name or File name or a part of the name in the active user's library.

New ltexture  

Add new texture in main library- Allows to import files of new textures to program system.  They must be previously processed depending on their applicability. The optimum size of a texture with  inhomogeneous  image pattern (wood, mosaic etc.) in pixels - 300/400, and in a mode - Map Style - Fit to object. It is recommendatory when you process a texture to save it  in a format .BMP with the purpose to keep the texture quality as much as possible .   

To add a new texture you have to specify a path to a graphic file  and confirm operation by button Add.  The masks with expansions filter the contents of directories (folders) at searching  of necessary texture.  After texture addition  in the main library,  it is necessary to sort it in respective user library.

All operations in Texture libraries, made from you, will be executed after the closing of the module. Their realization is made without screen action. It blocks start of all other operations and takes time depending on a technical parameters of your computer.
